The core of the Sprinter is the Fostex FE 126 E full range driver, featuring a paper diaphragm reinforced with banana plant leaves.

One Fostex FT 17 H super tweeter and two magnetically shielded Fostex FW 167 are complementing the full range driver. The bass driver has a paper cone reinforced with fibre glass called "Kenaf-Cellgaia by Fostex.

Excerpt of the review in Klang+Ton 4/2007:
... "AC/DC literally jumped out of these speakers. "Hells Bells" sounded as fresh and rude as if the song was recorded yesterday and not a quarter of a century ago. The same with "Thunderstruck": straight, brute force, full house. The two 17 cm bass drivers performed extremely well, even though they were away from the walls. Should the speakers need to be placed closer to the walls then a further damping of the bass reflex tubes is recommended. Using somewhat softer music it became evident that the full range driver calls the shots, but always supported by bass drivers without almost any inertia and a tweeter that never jumped the queue, even though the diagram showed some exaggeration. The sound of the tweeter was just the icing on the cake. Imaging was outstanding, especially since the positioning of the speakers wasn't perfect. The stage displayed by the sprinter is impressive and never compromised by smudged instruments. On the contrary, I rarely had the opportunity to notice individual instrument that clearly without loosing sight of the overall picture. The concept of a full range driver complemented by tops and bass as the cherries on the cake surely worked out. The precision and size of the image is somehow reminiscent of top class full range speakers. The drivers added are carefully chosen to supplement the characteristics of the full range ensuring a homogenous sound. The only difference to a genuine full range speaker is that the sprinter's limitations are extended with regard to balance, dynamics and attack, just like a real sprinter. " ...

Please note: the speaker cabinet is not rectangular, it's tapered towards the back. We recommend that those of you who are less experienced in cabinet building either build a rectangular cabinet or choose a different kit.

Upon request a 220 x 155 mm universal PCB is available for mounting the crossover components.

Sprinter with less pricey crossover (price/performance)

The price / performance crossover contains instead of:
- 8 x 100 μF ELCO non-etched in parallel only one ELCO etched with 800 μF
- 2 x ELCO with 68 and 82 μF each in parallel only one ELCO etched with 150 μF
- 56 μF Mundorf MCAP capacitor, two MKP/400 V capacitors with 22+33 μF in parallel
