Angara is a floorstanding speaker that does not add or remove anything from the reproduced signal. Angara means listening to music at the highest level.

Angara 2 - a new reference with Audaphon air motion transformer and Wavecor woofer

It is developed by Daniel Gattig and Dennis Frank.

Angara 2 is a bass reflex speaker with Audaphon and Wavecor drivers:

The crossover consists of 2rd order filters (12 dB per octave slope).

The frequency response of the speaker-system is flat till 20 000 Hz; the decay spectrum is excellent and the non-linear distortions remain almost consistently below 0.3% at 85 dB SPL (less than 0.1% between 700 Hz and 8000 Hz). These are excellent characteristics.

An excerpt from the Klang+Ton review

... "And so at last, with the mandatory hearing test, we could let out the beast appropriately. Various recordings that we brought back from the High End 2014 just had to be listened to and assessed. So both Deep Purple on their remastered "Made in Japan" and George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" with Arthur Fiedler at the mixing desk could sparkle with their dynamics. The Angara 2 remained colour free and without compression right up to high sound pressure levels. Like we are used to with Air Motion Transformers, these drivers make no secret of their existence - the treble just shines with crazy enthusiasm and a sensationally precise, and at the same time completely self evident, three-dimensionality."

Conclusion of the magazine Klang+Ton:

"It can go deep, it can go high and it can play loud. Add to that an absolutely honest and perfectly balanced tonal quality – in its second edition the Angara has become even better."

Kit without cabinet, price per speaker   EUR 1186,00 excl. VAT: € 996.64 / $ 1076.37

Kit with high-end crossover

Our high-end version employs a Mundorf copper foil coil in series to the woofers. In series to the air motion transformer a Rike Audio S-Cap is used. Elsewhere baked varnish air core coils, Mundorf copper foil coils or ClarityCap PWA capacitors are used.

Kit without cabinet, price per speaker   EUR 1344,00 excl. VAT: € 1129.41 / $ 1219.76

Impedance correction

If you want to use a valve amplifier with this speaker an impedance correction should be employed. In this case the component quality is less important; therefore, we offer only one kit (upon request higher quality components are available).

Price per impedance correction for one speaker, to be mounted on a small wooden board.     EUR 13,90 excl. VAT: € 11.68 / $ 12.62

universal PCB

If you prefer to mount the crossover components on a 240 x 165 mm universal PCB instead on wood:
Universal PCB RA240, order no.. str-RA240, price per unit:   EUR 8,60 excl. VAT: € 7.23 / $ 7.81
We recommend one board per kit (two boards for a speaker pair)
